SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATIONThe Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant program (OTAG) is changing for the 2022-23 academic year. In the past, OTAG has generally been available to early FAFSA filers with a 1700 or lower EFC (Expected Family Contribution) as calculated by the U.S. Department of Education using the data submitted on the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). However, next year the program will become “decentralized” meaning that the colleges, universities and career technology centers will make the final selection of recipients based on the individual schools’ priorities. In 2022-23, Pell-eligible Oklahoma resident students will be eligible for OTAG; however, with limited resources not all Pell-eligible students will receive the award. Students should contact the school he/she plans to attend to find out about OTAG eligibility information.
Early FAFSA filing will no longer assure low income students of OTAG eligibility.

The Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who've faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. While many programs are primarily focused on recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, they seek students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need.
The application period for high school seniors pursuing bachelor's degree programs Opens August 1 ends October 25. The application for career and technical education is open until August 15; this is for students pursuing associate degrees or technical certifications.
